Book two: The Viscount Who Loved Me.
Author: Julia Quinn
Publication Date: 5th December 2000
Publisher: Little, Brown Book Group
Let me tell you Antony Bridgerton has really met his match with Kate Sheffield (Later changed to Sharma in the Netflix show), this is a true fighter of a novel which starts to soften after a bee sting and a thunder & lightening storm.
In this book we really get to see the Viscount Bridgerton at his most vulnerable and learn a bit about his and his families past and how he came to be the Viscount so young. Kate Sheffield really grabbed a hold of Antony and forced him out of his shell showing his family the man that he used to be when he was younger. Their chemistry really caused explosions and fireworks from their first meeting, this one I think is the least raunchy out of the nine books. I did adore this books adaptation on Netflix better than season one, I think Antony goes through a lot of development as a character which in turn strengthens the storyline itself.
Trigger Warnings: Panic Attack, Loss of Loved Ones (in the past), Fatphobia, Carriage Accident, Broken Bones, Death of Parent, Flashbacks, Traumatic Birth.
Happy Reading!
