I have had the pleasure again to read Marissa's novel! Reading her debut novel Seeking Nessabella I was blown away by Marissa's worldbuilding and now I had the chance to read it again! This here is the sequel to Seeking Nessabella and let me tell you the world grows and grows.
Straight away I loved the dedication, I always like to have a read of these and a smile. Pronunciation guides are always a winner in my book and makes reading books even easier.
To match this up to some books you may already like I would say that this novel is similar to Harry Potter and The Cruel Prince. It has fantasy, adventure and twists and turns on every turn of the page. I love how Marissa writes it is effortless and makes it such a easy read.
The relationship building between characters is fantastic, I love the jokes, sarcasm and times where they protect and comfort each other. Reminds me of the friendships that I have and makes me smile.
I do still feel like Nessa should be older than how she is depicted, certain things she does and the vibe that she has for me seems like she should be maybe ten years older than how she is described. Some of this book seems to be a bit slower in some parts, please do remember that this is just my opinion so it may be different for you.
