Merry (late) Christmas! So sorry this post is a week late I took the festive season off to be with my family and to work a few last minute shows of The Nutcracker Ballet at the theatre I work at.
Hope you all had the most amazing day, I know I did. Christmas Eve I spent with my family watching festive movies whilst in Christmas pjamers, Christmas day was quiet as my mum wasn't too well and we didn't have my grandparents around, then Boxing Day we spent it the best way we could...watching the Sheffield Steelers win 3 - 2 against the Nottingham Panthers. So all in all apart from my mum being poorly it was a lovely time for me and my family.
I was very lucky this year to receive the presents I did for Christmas and I loved them all. Mainly I did get money towards my trip to Italy hopefully in the summer and I was gifted some books (no surprise there I know). These books included:
A Shadow in the Ember by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Snowed in for Christmas by Sarah Morgan (A early gift to Me from Me, also my last book of 2022)
Disney Quiz Book
Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo (Early gift To me from Me)
Everything And The Moon by Julia Quinn
Brighter Than The Sun by Julia Quinn
The Lost Duke Of Wyndham by Julia Quinn
Mr Cavendish, I Presume by Julia Quinn
A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Winter Garden by Alexandra Bell (My first read of 2023)
The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean
I am beyond excited to read all of these books this year, I'm currently over half way through The Winter Garden and am loving it, it is so similar to The Night Circus which we all know is one of my favourite books. So keep those eyes peeled for some new reviews coming this month, they might be a bit slow as I have three jobs and am here there and everywhere so please bare with me. I do have some exciting news I have been selected to read two new ARC books by two amazing women but that is all I am saying for now.
Until next time...Happy Reading!
